Back to Blogging!

Hey there!

I feel like I have a huge amount of explaining to do...recently, I've been spending a large amount of time away from the deep, dark depths of the Internet. I realised my constant blogging updates and brainstorm sessions beforehand were taking up precious family time and those around me drifted away. The majority of this year, as a result of this, has been catching up with old chums and embracing the positive energy around me!

This year has already brought new challenges, even bigger achievements, new people, lasting memories and a playlist full of  motivational tunes to get me back on track! A special event that I celebrated with my partner this month included our 1 year anniversary- not a massive deal to some, but nonetheless a very special moment for the both of us! I simply can't wait to share with you everything I've been getting up to in the past 6 months of 2016 - so many blog posts lined up and plenty of new content!

Let's not forget my YouTube channel that I neglected for a whole entire month - I deserve a right telling off! Follow the link below to check out a HUGE throwback to my summer last year - I had so much fun making this video and cannot wait to update my channel with yet another trip to sunny Spain!

Look out for yet another video soon for my upcoming holiday to Barcelona with my other half - I'm excited to film it and can't to share it all with you!

See you soon! Xxx

HOW TO: Deal With Plane Stress...

Hey there,

I know what you're all probably thinking after reading the title of my blog post, have you seen the weather outside? I agree, it's not my ideal weather for a vacation. However, after having moved into the loft at work, I'm constantly watching planes flying overhead - it's hard not to day dream about my holiday! I'm nowhere near an expert on this, infact I've only ever flown once, but I remember feeling so anxious sitting in that airport for the first time. I know how terrifying flying can be for certain people, so I wanted to write a post to offer some helpful tips to ensure your flight is a good one...

Hydrate Yourself - it's always good to ensure you drink plenty before and during your flight. I find that my mood increases dramatically by hydrating myself well and prepares me for my travels.

Rest Well -  there's nothing worse than a sleepless night the evening before your flight. Reading before bed is a good way to relax, ensuring I fall asleep with no trouble.

Boiled Sweets - I found that squashing a packet of sweets in my coat pocket was the best decision I ever made on my first flight. Sucking on hard candy is a great distraction when flying and also the best way to help when your ears pop!

Relaxing Music - before you head on your journey, ensure you have a playlist with your favourite music stored on your phone/iPod. Listening to your most loved songs is the best way to help with any anxieties you may have.

I hope you find my tips useful and take note of these when flying abroad!

#2 10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week!

Hey there,

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that this week has been the longest week so far? I'm starting to become impatient for spring to arrive - I'm fed up of struggling to roll out of bed in the morning, fed up of the freezing cold and fed up of waking up for work in the morning in the dark. I must admit the frost is beautiful, but I'm getting tired of having to wear three pairs of socks whenever I decide to brave the cold! Despite the drop in temperature, there were many moments which made it a lovely week.

1. Catching up with old friends.

2. Coming home to my favourite dinner on the table.

3. Hearing the words 'I Love You'

4. Reading some lovely comments on my blog.

5. Deep thinking whilst gazing up at the stars on my evening walks home.

6. Reminiscing my childhood - breathing into the cold air, pretending to be a dragon.

7. Planning a holiday away with my boyfriend.

8. Embracing my local area, playing with my favourite cat.

9. Receiving an invite to prom.

10. Having that Friday feeling.

What's made you happy this week?

Bye for now! Xxx

My Year In Photos {2014}

Hey there!

Reflecting back on last year, 2014 really wasn't that bad! For me, it was a year of new beginnings, participating in new experiences and mastering the first step to boosting my self-confidence! It was also the year I fell in love with my camera - sounds vain, I know!

I'd never been a big fan of Instagram - the idea of using hashtags scared me! Seriously though, I can't even remember what i used to do before this app took over my life.I know I definitely can't live without it now! I just love to document my life, taking shots of places and events I wish to remember forever. I love flicking back through my old scrapbooks and photo albums - reliving those moments of my life where I felt blissfully happy, remembering those special memories I've shared with loved ones whom are sadly no longer with me and cringing at all the hideous clothes and hairstyles my parents tortured me with over the years.

I thought I'd share with you some of my happiest moments from 2014!

Blogmas 2014

Hey there!

December is slowly approaching us - time to fetch the Christmas decorations from the loft, eat our weight in yummy food, wrap up warm in our favourite woolly jumpers and sing festive songs. You may think it's early for all of this, but when it comes to this time of year, my inner child comes alive! Christmas has always been my favourite part of the year - chilly winter nights, hot cocoa, fluffy blankets, festive lights - you name it, I love it!

I challenged myself this year to participate in Blogmas 2014 to theme my blog around this exciting holiday - prepare for everything Christmas! Something tells me I'm going to get extremely carried away with this and spam my little slice of the Internet with an overload of cute snaps...

Bye for now! Xxx
